Everything is Energy

When I was young in my spiritual studies, I had the great privilege of learning from Rev. Grace Walker in Yardley, Pennsylvania. She had been a student of the world-renowned channeler Arthur Ford, and her wisdom continues to ripple through my life even decades later. One of the first and most powerful truths she taught me was simple, yet profound: “Thoughts are Things.”

At the time, I didn’t fully understand it. How could a thought, invisible and fleeting, be a “thing”? But as I stepped into my own path as a Tarot reader and spiritual guide over the last forty years, I have lived that truth. Thoughts are alive. They have wings. They take off in the direction we send them—whether positive or negative—and eventually return to us in form. Looking back, I see my own life has unfolded largely in line with the energy I unconsciously set in motion. I’ve always been deeply emotional, yet I’ve worked daily to cultivate a more stoic presence. That balance has shaped me into both student and teacher of energy.

When clients come to me, they often ask about love, housing, parenting, or career. The details may differ, but the yearning is the same: a desire for answers and direction. My question back to them is this: “What outcome do you want?” Because once you clarify your outcome, you can begin aligning energy to work in your favor.

Energy responds to the way we live. Attitude, affirmations, and gratitude act as signposts for the universe. Even in the direst situation, gratitude is a tuning fork that brings you into harmony with possibilities instead of despair. Movement is also key—exercise is not only for the body but for the spirit. Any exercise you love becomes a way to shift stagnant energy and create flow.

I encourage people to write down their intentions. When you put pen to paper, you’re showing the universe you mean it. But intentions must be about yourself, not about controlling another person’s path. This is your journey. Obstacles will appear, yes, but they are not roadblocks—they are teachers. The task is not to give up control but to refine your focus, to turn what you want into its best and highest expression.

Meditation helps too, though I understand it can be difficult in a crisis. When the heart is racing, stillness feels impossible. Yet even ten minutes of a guided meditation tells the universe: “I am open to answers.”

One word of caution: don’t sabotage yourself by chasing endless readings. Going from tarot reader to tarot reader with the same question only tangles the energy. Trust one reader, one voice of clarity, and check in every three months. That space gives both you and the universe time to weave the pattern you’re asking for.

And please—don’t waste your money on spells. Place your investment on yourself: your growth, your alignment, your ability to move energy in your favor. You are your own best channel for transformation.

This is only the beginning. In the future, I’ll be sharing more about spirits and guides—how they walk with us, and how I call upon them in my Tarot work to help illuminate the path for those seeking answers.

After all these years, my teacher’s words still echo in me: everything is energy, and thoughts are things. What you think, you become. What you send out, you call back. And in every moment, you have the power to direct that energy toward a life of alignment, growth, and purpose.
