The Elephant in the Room
When people think about Tarot or Oracle consultations, one of the biggest unspoken hesitations I hear is: “But the Bible says we shouldn’t go to fortune tellers.”
This is the elephant in the room.
For many, this concern runs deep. You might feel drawn to the insight and clarity these sessions can provide, but at the same time worry that seeking them might go against your faith. Some even say Tarot is “against Christianity” altogether. But is it really?
A Matter of Interpretation
The Bible does caution against certain practices, especially those tied to divination in ancient times that often involved invoking spirits or idols. But Tarot and Oracle cards, as I practice them, are not about summoning spirits or predicting doom. They are tools for reflection, clarity, and guidance—much like prayer, journaling, or counseling.
Faith and Guidance Can Work Together
Many of my clients identify as Christian, spiritual-but-not-religious, or simply seekers of wisdom. What unites them is the desire for clarity, support, and encouragement during life’s challenges. Tarot doesn’t replace your faith—it can actually deepen it by reminding you of your own God-given inner wisdom.
Opening the Conversation
If you’ve ever wondered about Tarot but hesitated because of religious concerns, I invite you to explore with an open heart. You may discover that instead of being “against” Christianity, Tarot can complement your spiritual walk, giving you tools to reflect and grow in alignment with your beliefs.
The elephant in the room doesn’t need to stand between you and the clarity you deserve.
